Professional Window Cleaning for Cincinnati Homes and Businesses
We provide professional window cleaning for homes, storefronts, and offices across Greater Cincinnati. That means the glass, plus the frames, sills, tracks, and screens most people never get to. Your windows come out streak-free, inside and out. For glass with heavy buildup, our purified-water rinse handles the tough stuff.
Owner Chad Gilbert answers every quote and estimate himself. We are a small, owner-operated team, and every window gets checked before we leave. If you spot something we missed, we come back.
We are fully insured and use biodegradable products that are safe around kids, pets, and landscaping. Every job carries our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
We also handle gutter cleaning, pressure washing, roof cleaning, and house washing, so one visit can cover more than the windows.
Old Cincinnati Windows Need a Different Touch Than New Ones
Own a pre-war home in Hyde Park, Oakley, Northside, or Walnut Hills? Your windows need slower work than a new build does. The median Cincinnati home was built in 1951, and about 41% of homes here went up before 1940.
Every window gets hand detailed. Wood sash, wavy original glass, and storm windows are cleaned by hand, never with pressure. We pull the screen first so we can reach the full pane.
Then we check around the window before any water goes on it. Old sash and old glazing let water find its way inside, the same moisture problem the National Park Service flags in its guidance on historic wooden windows. In a pre-war home that means damaged plaster and stained trim. We would rather find a gap first than explain a water stain after.
The city also holds 26 local historic districts and 52 local landmarks. Original trim and slate sills get wiped carefully, not scrubbed.

We Rinse With Purified Water, Not Your Garden Hose
Washed your own windows and found spots after they dried? That is your water, not your technique.

minerals left in our purified rinse
Greater Cincinnati Water Works runs two treatment plants at different hardness. Every gallon out of your hose carries those minerals. Tap water dries and leaves them sitting on the glass. That is the spotting. Purified water has nothing left in it to dry on, so the pane finishes clear without wiping.
A cleaning removes what is sitting on the glass. It does not remove damage already in it. If minerals have etched your panes, that is a different process, and we will tell you which one you need before we quote.
What a Window Cleaning Fixes, and What It Does Not
A cleaning removes what is sitting on the glass: dirt, pollen, road film, bug spray, fingerprints, and water spots that have not etched in yet. It covers both sides of the pane, inside and out, plus the sills and tracks.
Interior Glass
Fingerprints, smudges, and dust removed from the inside of the pane.
Exterior Glass
Pollen, road film, and weather buildup rinsed off with purified water.
Sills & Tracks
Built-up dust and debris wiped out from around the glass.
It will not fix:
Etched Glass
Minerals that have pitted the surface need stain removal, not a wash.
Fogged Double Panes
Haze between two panes means a failed seal, and no cleaning reaches it.
Damaged Screens
Torn or bent screens need repair or replacement, not rinsing.
Peeling Glazing
A cleaning will not hide rotted sash or failing putty, and we will point it out.
How Often Windows Need Cleaning in Cincinnati
Most Cincinnati homes need professional window cleaning twice a year, in spring and fall. The weather here is the reason. Cincinnati gets about 44 inches of rain over roughly 120 days a year. Our tap water is also moderately hard. So rain spots dry into mineral marks that will not wipe off.
- Spring: clears winter salt spray and heavy tree pollen
- Fall: takes off summer storm spots, plus grass and weed pollen
- Storefronts: usually monthly or quarterly, because of foot traffic and handprints
Homes under heavy tree cover or near the Ohio River often need a third visit.
What Cincinnati Weather Does to Your Windows
Glass here takes a beating that glass in a dry state never sees. Four things cause most of what we clean off.
Hard water spots
Greater Cincinnati Water Works says our water is moderately hard, at about 140 parts per million. When sprinkler water or rain dries on the glass, it leaves the minerals behind. You see them as white, cloudy spots. Regular cleaners just push them around. Our hard water stain removal service takes them off.
Spring and summer pollen
Tree pollen arrives first, then grass pollen from late spring into summer. It settles into a yellow film on the glass and packs into screens, which is why clean windows can still look dull. We wash the screens too, not just the glass.
Storms and humidity
Cincinnati gets about 44 inches of rain a year. Summer humidity sits near 73 percent. Thunderstorms throw dirt and grit onto the glass, and the damp air helps it stick. Windows facing south and west usually look the worst.
Winter salt and grit
Road salt and slush spray onto lower windows and storm windows all winter. If it sits there too long, it can leave marks in the glass that do not come out. A spring cleaning takes it off first.
Older homes around here add their own challenge. We have cleaned tall foyer windows, solarium glass, and 16-foot glass doors, and we bring the right equipment instead of guessing when we arrive.

Window Cleaning Questions We Get Asked
Can you remove hard water spots from my windows?
Yes. Cincinnati water is moderately hard. That means sprinkler and rain spots leave behind minerals that regular cleaners just smear around. We use a special process to lift them off. If the spots have been there for years, the glass may be marked for good. We will tell you that before we start.
Do you clean the screens and tracks too?
Yes, screens, sills, and tracks are part of the job. Pollen packs into screens every spring, which is why glass can look dull right after a cleaning. We handle those so the whole window looks right.
Can you reach second story and tall foyer windows?
Yes. We use water-fed poles and safe ladder methods for upper floors, tall foyers, and solarium glass. We have cleaned elevated windows, 16-foot glass doors, and glass rails on homes around Greater Cincinnati.
What affects the price of a window cleaning?
Price depends on a few things. How many windows you have. How many stories. Whether you want inside and out, or just outside. And whether screens and tracks are included. You get a price before any work starts. Repeat customers get first pick of dates and a lower rate.
Can you come out on short notice?
Often, yes. We keep room in the schedule for same-day and next-day work, which helps with showings, graduation parties, and last-minute guests. Call and we will tell you honestly what is open.
Do you work around blinds, furniture, and landscaping?
Yes. We work around blinds, shades, and furniture without moving your day around. We cover the areas near each window before we start. Outside, we work carefully around decks and plants, and our products are safe for your yard.
